Biography
John Taylor More was born in Scotland, and in 1772 he came to America with his parents. He became proficient in woodcraft and hunting throughout his childhood. He became acquainted with the natives and other settlers in the area.
From 1817 to 1834, John T. and Eleanor owned and ran the Tavern in Moresville, farmed the adjacent land, and raised their family .
